I’m opinionated and love books. With the rise in self-publishing there are literally thousands of mediocre e-books out there. I’ve made up my mind to read through as many as I can and tell you what the best ones are so you don’t have to waste your precious time. You’re welcome.
Why science fiction and speculative fiction?
To borrow the words from one of my favorite authors:
Individual science fiction stories may seem as trivial as ever to the blinder critics and philosophers of today – but the core of science fiction, its essence, the concept around which it revolves, has become crucial to our salvation if we are to be saved at all.
“My Own View,” The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction, Holdstock, ed., 1978
Asimov on Science Fiction, pg 5
Science fiction is perhaps one of the most important genres of fiction. It questions our assumptions and imagines our future. What sort of problems will we face? And more importantly, how will we as a society address them? I think everyone should read science fiction.
Why should we listen to you?
I’m honest. I’m not getting rich off this so you know I have no reason to artificially inflate reviews. ApostropheYes is dedicated to sincere and insightful reviews.
That’s a weird name
Yes, yes it is.

Hi! Thank you 🙂 There’s not really a major significant story; just a collection of thoughts: This blog is for my thoughts and musings related to sci-fi so I thought the ” ‘s ” to signify the possessive was kind of fun. When my mom texts me she will type the letter ‘s’ as a shorthand for the word “yes”. I thought combining the two was kind of cute. Plus it reminds me of my mom so that’s nice!
